Yes so true. We have had apartments next to us be vacant for months. We had one vacant for over 6 months. Its a decent priced apartment for the area but we have no amenities and they took out the dishwashers…
The units in our complex used to be reoccupied within days of someone moving out. We've noticed a longer and longer duration of them staying vacant. Couldn't be because the rent as gone up while they cut any perks we had. 🤷🏼♀️🙄 Utter greed.
Our old complex is actively emailing us shit like “we’d love to have our reliable tenants back and if you refer a friend you’ll get laundry credits.” Bite my bony ass Whitmore Court
People can't afford many of them. I have friends who are in their mid to late 70's getting cash jobs to supplement social security so they can buy groceries.
Is that because they should be unaffordable, or is it because of the many landlords letting them sit empty to decrease supply of places available to live in artificially to move the needle of supply and demand so that they can charge more and have less upkeep costs?
