After partly reading Wolfgang Kraushaars " Die blinden Flecken der 68er Bewegung", I would say it flourishes on the traditions of the left, carried on scince the student protests of 1968.

ich bin mir allerdings nicht sicher, ob das nur das internet ist. mich erinnert gerade der us-diskurs der linken stark an deutschland bevor die anti-d-szene (mit ihren eigenen problemen) groß wurde. es fehlt gefühlt einfach eine gegenströmung.

das ist nicht, was ich meine. ich frage mich eher, ob das problem – gerade wie es in den usa ist – überhaupt einen großen social-media-einfluss hat oder ob das nicht etwas ist, das in linken szenen fast von selbst passiert, wenn man nicht aufpasst.

its nothing new and has nothing to do with the internet. we had "peace activists" on the left in the 70s who would essentially support the soviets, or the khmer, or ho chi min... also doesnt mean those people are actually leftists, even if they claim they are.
