David Crosthwait Jr. was an American mechanical/electrical engineer, inventor, & writer. His expertise was on central air conditioning & heat transfer systems. He was elected as a fellow of ASHRAE in 1971 making him the 1st African-American fellow & was also named fellow of AAAS #BlackHistoryMonth
