Why Mental Health Is KEY as a Creative:
As #creatives, #entrepreneurs, and #entertainers, we don’t have guidebooks or formulas. The freedom is exciting, but the uncertainty is hella overwhelming.
We’re managing EVERYTHING: our vision, strategy, and execution.
Trial and error is inevitable.
But constant failure can feel like defeat.
It’s discouraging.
And if we don’t address those feelings, they build.
Here’s the truth I’ve learned:
Failure isn’t defeat—it’s the lesson you need to elevate.
The only way to grow is to fail and **take the lesson with you**.
Shift your mindset to see failure as growth—not an ending.
You WILL fail again. And that’s GOOD.
Each failure is a necessary step forward.
Don’t dwell. Pivot quickly. Learn and adjust your strategy.
Example: Let’s say you’re a photographer struggling to find clients. Cold outreach isn’t working? Pivot.
Run ads.
Offer 3 months of free portfolio work.
Reach out to modeling agencies.
Take more shots—you’ll score more.
Anxiety comes from fearing failure. But once you embrace failure as part of the process, it’s freeing.
You stop forcing outcomes and start moving in flow.
Focus on action, not outcomes.
Let’s keep it a stack: ignoring your mental health WILL catch up with you.
You can’t bottle it up forever. Trust me, I’ve had breakdowns from ignoring stress. Take care of your mental health before it becomes a bigger problem.
