for us, we don't realize somebody else is co-fronting usually until they say something - either internally (which the fronter ends up perceiving as a feeling, texture, or concept because we have aphantasia) or using the body.

two great examples of this are catchfly and chimaera - chimaera is often a member who makes some sort of joke internally to let people know they're co-fronting, and catchfly usually lets people know she's around by saying something externally (usually about their spouse Test-Tube).

Voice in our head aside from who is in control. Tho the reverse can happen too, where the fronter realizes they're sharing because it someone is controlling a limb

the term is really confusing as a median for whom that's the normal state and it's kind of unusual to have a quiet head. generally day to day there's like 4 or 5 of us talking at once in here. sometimes More

As someone who's constantly co-fronting/having a headmate constantly around in our head, its honestly just our usual default state, cause our system usually has one other headmate acting as our voice of reason/person we bounce thoughts off of. I don't know the type of system we have, but that's it.

we often experience it as a shared conversation, with folks coming in and out all day to weigh in on current tasks or cause loveable chaos. other times it will be the feeling of a presence behind or around the body, that alerts whoever is fronting that a quieter or less present awareness is near
