These stupid fuckers have no clue about civil servants nor what they do, trying to pair down that fast would be a disaster. There is a procedure in place for trimming down the work force called VERA/VSIP. But apparently they just no longer want a functioning Gov't, assholes.

Through an email blast, federal workers were given the opportunity to resign from their jobs before Feb. 6 and retain full pay and benefits through Sept. 30.
