2/ Mrs Snoddy recollected, ‘To be honest, I wasn’t over-impressed when I first saw the flat in Gladstone House because I had been used to living in a house’. Still there, fifty years on, she admits that she ‘must have adjusted rather well’.

Tortoise was apparently Tommy (according to the Architects' Journal, 6.9.2001). He unfortunately met a very sad end...
