Wadjet is the goddess of serpents, the Nile Delta, the land of the living, and protector of Egyptian kings. Her name means "the Green One." Wadjet is the nurse to the infant sun god, Horus. She protects him and his mother Isis in the Nile Delta when Set kills Horus' father Osiris.
