Punishing single parents, regardless of the circumstances, forces a lot of people to enter into toxic “marriages” or remain in unhealthy ones, simply to avoid being “punished” for failing to live up to the “standards” set by aholes
How else are the wealthy going to be able to afford their 2nd or 3rd super yacht if we poorer folk don't take up the slack so they can have their gigantic tax breaks?

Just what students need. To pay taxes on the tiny bit of help they get paying for school. So what if you’re a single parent and a student at the same time (as I’ve been the past three years) you’re just completely screwed? Should I just send all my money directly to the oligarchs?

Try taxing corporations, churches and the uber rich at the same rates the regular citizens pay. Problem solved.
