In my opinion, charts are important. But the constant expectation of having all songs charting without understanding that some songs will decrease in streams while we focus on other things esp during new releases, is what makes it tiresome over there. It’s always “we gotta focus on”— GIMME A BREAK

When Spotify Wrapped released, a lot of us have rapline in top 5 and all 7 in top 10. But then, i saw a twt saying, we need to focus on ot7 songs before 2025 when we’re still dealing with Happy and Tae’s singles. It’s like Hold on! Most of us have BTS in their top 5. We really cannot satisfy every1.

We physically can't keep all songs and OT7 songs charting at the same time. Especially with the way the charting rules have changed AND the fact that BH doesn't do payola. Just let us breathe.

The fact that we pulled more than 10B— probably 15B more or less in total both ot7 and solo is astounding! And that’s just in one streaming platform. We really need to pat each other in the back instead of yelling at eo. We did a great job despite every 💩 we went thru this year.

The Spotify Wrapped this year really highlighted the fact that twt ARMY had been streaming the rapline all along, so anyone who had been scolding and blaming were really barking up the wrong tree, and instead of making people stream more, just bringing down morale and spreading negativity.

Just another reason I left there. I don't understand how people don't understand that we can't maintain high positions on charts when we're essentially supporting 8 artists at the same time. It's a lot, and the fact that everyone wants to make it some sort of commentary on bias is exhausting.

saying something like, "The streams are decreasing, but don't be alarmed. It's that way every weekend", people complain about it, telling people to push, stressing other people out in general. I wish people would say, "Enjoy your weekend! We'll pick it back up on Monday."

You have an excellent point.
I love supporting pushes for charting and have tried to be encouraging about it. I feel that there is just nothing but screaming and hating on US ARMY for not doing enough when the rules change every release and have seriously tied our hands!!

Yeah, there are multiple factors that influence how well a song charts. Instead of blaming others for not doing enough, we should just have faith in our fellow ARMYs
