AI art is getting harder and harder to distinguish. I look for certain reference images on Google and over half of them are AI generated. Are there ways we can look to tell for sure if it’s AI? Other than obvious glitches and text I mean.
As for the rest...things I (and others) have noticed in the most recent batch are
- lack of consistent style (fully rendered style in the face and then impressionistic for the rest)
- usually has the same type of lighting, which is neither realistic or theatre lighting
This one is a bit more difficult to explain, but with the image I saw earlier, if it'd been painted by a human it would've taken them days, so if it looks empty of thought or intent --
(seriously this was clearly a mashing together of Howl and Qifrey, with a blue background called "wizard of the blue mountain" - WHY) then that isn't how a human would think or work during the creation process, and so it betrays a lack of human involvement
- And on social media and portfolio websites a lack of artistic cultural practices. No interactions with others, be it followers, friends, fandom members or other artists. No reference to other socials. No promotions. No personal talk what so ever

First of all, find reputable places for references like https://unsplash.com or museum's websites like https://metmuseum.org

(I hope that makes sense???)
