I can't believe we have to start articulating that laws don't exist Just Until they're inconvenient to the individual. They exist to keep the fabric of society from falling apart, so things make sense to a majority of people, so everyone have a steady foundation to live their lives on

Regulation might be annoying and inconvenient to follow, and sometimes they're a problem we have to keep in mind while we plan a project, but it's written with the largest amount of people's needs and rights in mind

That we have to waste time defending these things, that we have to fight nail and tooth for the rights to our livelihoods, for the people of Gaza to not be starved to death, for society not to fall apart, when we could be spending it improving the world is an atrocity
