How far my journey went. If you're reading this, salutations to you! Art is something to mainly enjoy (at least for me) so I don't expect long grind sessions, but I definitely want to draw here and there for fun when I feel like it. That's it! That's the post! ^w^ 8/8

Most of what I draw looks like this. I need to put a lot more work in but so far I am having a lot of fun and patience at the same time. I draw every here and then when I can. In school, at home, ext.. I do have a goal to stick with art, and maybe come back to this post in a year to see 7/?

So far the only two pieces I am proud of are these two attached. Both were drawn with a refference and even though it might seem like I did a lot of progress in such a short time, do not be fooled. 6/?

About 5 days in I finally dared enough to try and draw characters. I struggle with that a lot and my drawings take ages to even get out of the sketch phase. I learned that art is slow, and that a good one-off doesn't neccesarily mean that I am good at that technique yet. 5/?

I had only ever drawn things in standardised perspectives for technical purposes. The shapes and curves and lines all didn't make sense to me, so I resorted to drawing cubes to practice.

About day 3 is when I really got consumed by it all. I started watching a bunch of videos on how to draw and it puzzled me. The amount of geometry and practice that goes into drawing is enourmos. Even being familiar with things like perspective didn't help much 3/?

Firstly I have to say that actually getting the tablet and trying to use it for the first time was incredibly alien to me. Nothing felt natural and drawing while not looking at my hand messed with my brain at first. How I got around this was just copying other art to get used to the movements. 2/?
