Just follow what you love and see what adjacent things can keep you interested. I started by trying to make video games, in a framework that utilized C# for the programming. C# is also utilized for service in web development. And my brief experience got an internship with that. 1/2

The immediately viewable results of Web dev was similar to games, kept me interested. But interactivity was low for C#/SSR. So I pivoted to more JavaScript and really enjoyed the possibilities, community, tools available. And JavaScript can now do games, and it’s all connected points of interest.

Oh so it sounds like you saw something you wanted to learn to build and then built it as you learned. Cool. That’s how I first got interested in web dev. I wanted to build my own website lol taught myself the basics 🙂
