He is a long time vocal and financial supporter of the Trump administration. That seems relevant - and a minimal level of disclosure? We don’t need the valuable real estate of trusted news organisations to tell us what Thiel thinks - or legitimize his bad faith views. Interview him. Provide analysis

Not forgetting that through Palantir he's also a CIA contractor dealing in surveillance technologies and sits on the board of Meta which recently announced the abandonment of fact checking.

I'd add "éminence grise" after his Piers Morgan interview, pun intended.

I don’t think that’s FT house style. As for ‘we’, I think I at least benefit from hearing Thiel in his own poorly written words. I’m never going to seek him out on YouTube or Trump
friendly platforms. As for legitimising, I think he’s done quite a good job in undermining that.
