Trump was amenable to this, the equivalent of sending American prisoners to Siberia. Nayib Bukele, the prez of El Salvador, offered to house U.S. prisoners in his country’s “mega-prison”. No press has been anywhere close to Guantanamo prison in the last 12 years, afaik. There are videos of the base, the library and basketball fields. The detention facilities are off limits for press.
Remember the express trials for 9/11 offenders? still going on to this day, 20+ years!
