My God that’s awful. I had no idea. The kindest, most gentle man. I once shared a late-night chippy dinner with him at Bloody Scotland, just the two of us, and enjoyed his company ever since. I’m so, so sorry, please pass on my sympathies.

...apologies if I have - but I was thunderstruck when I heard the news & I wanted to say something because I know he had so many friends out there that many will want to add their thoughts and wish him well on his onward journey. This is heartbreaking news. I met Amer at several events and he was always kind, friendly, and so very encouraging. His “just do it - what have you got to lose?” attitude was infectious. He’ll be missed.
