Weird to see all the enthusiastic coverage of the Grammys or Oscar nominations and the rest when all I’m thinking is, “yeah great, but your democracy is falling.”

The Oscar electoral system (for nominations at least) is an extremely well designed ranked choice model, provides tons of voter information (you can watch every film through the Academy interface), and supports online voting.
