The rich and corporations can afford security. When the poor can no longer afford food they will look for the easiest targets. The working class, cause we can't afford gated neighborhoods or 24/7 security.

This also hurts farmers, who sell the food to the food banks. The federal program allows food banks to give the farmers a better price for their crops, and provides people struggling with food insecurity with quality food. Without that funding, food banks can't buy as much fresh food from growers.
