Call me crazy, but if I wasn't enjoying a piece of media I would simply stop engaging with it, and not make it my entire personality and hobby to shit on it.

These aren't even the grifters, these are just weirdos that go on social media to score brownie points for hating on the new thing to hate, they literally gain nothing from it other than confirmation bias.
Depends on what the 'piece of media' is doing that you object to. When it's deliberately trying to sabotage an election and overthrow your democracy, it's time to drop a shipload of manure square on top of it.
Yeah. Even just like...don't watch the things you don't like, job done. I love Stars of the Trek and War variety and I saw stuff that just didn't look like I'd enjoy. So I just didn't. Incredible strategy, how come people aren't talking about this?!
gamers sometimes are the most emotionally stunt people I know, I swear. These guys are pushing 30 and their whole thing is hating on underplayed games cuz "liberal agenda" propped them up
(when in fact most of the time its just a few radfems taking credit for things they didn't do on twitter)
It’s what most people would do, but there are those people (Daily Mail readers) who need to continually feel angry about something. It’s the only thing that makes them feel alive. Sad, isn’t it?
I like that hate watching as a recognised phenom went into full swing just as Musk took over Twitter, the facade is just gone now we know why they posted hyperbole about that show.
