I don't know how much the lower league standard in Saudi affects decisions at various national team levels, but my point was that Arteta thought the Saudi offer was attractive enough to Gabby that his head was turned, and took the fairly pointed action of benching him for 3 games.
Anyone’s head would be turned with offer of Saudi money, but ultimately he stayed and then went on to prove he is the best CB in the club / league which I am certain will be reflected in any contract Arsenal offer him.
The story drops on the first day of the international break, same old.
That the situation was eventually resolved doesn't change the fact that he seemed interested enough at one point. Now, maybe things are different this time around. That's a different question though.

I have no clue whether he will stay or go but money is all the Saudi league can offer over all of the big leagues in Europe.
Also depends if he values his spot in the Brazilian team, he seems to find it important.
