The carbrain runs deep - so much support for a gas station within walking distance. You're not gonna walk to get gas.
I don't get the disdain for a bar, theatre, or university.
Malls, at least, are a product of car dependency and don't serve much purpose in a walkable city.

Extremely puzzled by this YouGov survey of what people think should be within a 15 minute walk of their house that has +45 support for a restaurant but -17 for a bar.

And everything else is often storefront-sized, universities can be entire city district-sized!
Universities do have a large footprint, but they also tend to be microcosms of the 15-minute city ideals anyways. I don't think they conflict at all.
