I will give you a story from the 1973-75 recession. Gas skyrocketed. People had to buy locking gas caps for their cars as their gas was being stolen. I worked in the auto industry at the time and sold those gas caps. Many, many gas caps.

Tarrifs are generally assigned to individual products or individual agricultural goods, not blanket tariffs like trump is doing. That’s the problem. An all inclusive tariff on everything is just stupid.
