Yes, I agree at the suggestion of Musk federal employees have been negatively impacted. The negative impact of these employees will have a positive effect on our country's balance sheet. Where is the positive for the campaign against Musk? Who wins? The size of gov will be reduced w/wo Musk.

I'll try to be brief. Think about it in terms of ethics, e.g., the trolley problem. His actions have infinite damage beyond the fed. employees. vs. Tesla employees. As far as budget + vs. -, its a reduction that is then offset by the raise in the debt ceiling. So infinite human damage w no +upside.

May be true, but others have suggested a more "measured" approach, rather than throwing the babies out with the bathwater. Since he has no "empathy" & no legal ways to curb his rough-shod dismantling, its likely the only way to make a point, that his actions are not in his best interest.

Honest question. Are you under the impression that Musk is closing agencies and terminating employees or that Musk's team is running numbers and based on the math x number of employees should be removed to increase efficiency then it's up to the agencies to do with the info what they will?

Which happens first? Musk goes in, closes the agency, gets in the computers & states (not accurately - lots of recall on his $$$ saved figures). Agency "heads" are either acting sycophants or resign. Agency "heads" are not in charge. Some are actively resisting but then, get canned.

Additionally, he's not a "stable genius," seems absurdly ego driven, & has some fairly repugnant ideas/attitudes which he's delighted to show off on behalf of the US, so embarrassing! So personally, I think we'll all be better off without him in "office." He should go back to his regular job.

If he gave a "care" about his co. & employees, stock holders, he's had numerous opportunities to walk some of this back but, he seemingly doesn't care. I think he made a point of negating "empathy" as useful. He's functioning more as a useful idiot at the moment. Trump gets praise, he gets blame

What is there to walk back? Seriously. I've come to this platform to try to understand the other side of it. My side of it is we must reduce the size and cost of government or we'll no longer be solvent as a nation, and it must be done quickly.

Then why aren't they raising taxes instead of just reducing government services! Why do they need a raise in the debt ceiling if they already anticipate the cuts to government?
Why extend the tax cuts that have already raised the debt ceiling back in the 45 term? It makes no sense.

That's a whole other can of worms. I think passing a CR was a slap in the face to everyone who has been laid off from the government, the tax payers, everyone. Congress negated any savings DOGE had suggested. I still think DOGE must exist and succeed or we all fail.
