I hate setting up a new tv. Back in the day, you could just buy a tv, put it up and enjoy that shit.

Now you gotta put in: name, password, wireless network, streaming services you want, connect your account to other accounts, enable voice speak… shit is tedious to get through.

TVs have become rather complicated things now, so they have things, software, services, sometimes they get improvements. Some have streaming apps baked right in. They don't update if you don't connect it to the internet though. Some are also enormous data pigs though and will sell your information.

I was never a big game console, guy. Hated the ecosystems, and stuck with more PC games growing up.
I remember I bought a PlayStation one when it came out to play call of duty.(on snow days at the time, ya know maybe 1-2 times a year). We had just had a big snow and it spent like 12 hours updating
