I am not blaming Democrats for Republicans becoming fascists. I am blaming people who overused "fascist" for years for removing the power of that word and gutting it of meaning, and making it useless now that we need it.
Something I warned would happen.

It's one of those terms that was thrown around a lot but also wasn't wrong It's just that the fascist policies were used abroad and not against the white population (much). Now that the imperial boomerang has returned home a lot of the more insulated folks (white people) are feeling its effects too.

Why are these people excusing them fascists for what they really are? This sounds so similar to the deported v expelled argument yesterday. Fascism is extreme nationalism that aims to elevate/impose a totalitarian form of government.

The base operates under one ideology, and in this case is “make america great again”. They will do everything for their ultranationalist ideology, disregard common norms, laws, civil rights, and suppress every opposition be it the media, courts, schools, human rights organizations, etc.

So what Nichols is saying is that we can only use 'fascist' AFTER the fascism has landed. That makes no sense.
