Gladly. The problems we are facing are a crisis in capitalism itself and the liberal world order that was created post Cold War. The feeling of being abandoned by the ruling class in favor of the rich is happening in places like Canada as much as they are happening here. 1/2

At most something like dividing the US and Canada like that would at best only delay the reaction to the dissatisfaction and not solve it. After all provinces like Alberta and Manitoba are almost as reactionary as American red states. What needs to change is how our economy is run 2/2

i've just been feeling gloomy about the MAGA capture of all 3 branches of government and feeling like there's not much we can do as voters until midterms.

Yeah no problem. I get the feeling. I've been in a black mood since November. The only thing I can say to fight that mood is to fight for the institutions that do help people and build new ones that can survive the storm. It's going to be difficult and scary but we have no other choice.
