Unless, perhaps, one destroys science as we know it, by replacing it with a centralized top-down system of pretend pseudo-science. Keeping the usual images of lab coats and beakers, etc, but with declarations of "facts" that are unproven or even demonstrably false.

16. Between the decentralization and the incentives for researchers to upend the status quo, the sorts of conspiratorial fantasies that persist in the anti-science right are simply impossible. No one has the power to say "Hey, I want to you suppress this result" and have that stick across science.
