What you might not understand is how much authority the FCC actually HAS. Answer: it's not much.

Even with his flunkies in control, the FCC is still just a technical regulatory agency. Their actual enforcement powers over content is limited - at best.
There are over **nine hundred** network affiliates in the US. The Trump administration going after any of them is unlikely.
