The 14th Amendment of the US Constitution has ALWAYS been interpreted to extend citizenship to everyone born in the US and to those registered as "born abroad" whose parent/s are citizens of the US. ALWAYS. And ask yourself why that is and don't let anyone trick you into thinking it never was.
