Yeah, but the platform here isn't doing it. Plus it isn't that hard to scrap art off Twitter. I made a python script that can do it without the API. It's no more difficult that subscribing to the Jetstream firehose here on Bluesky.

5 budget VPSes load sharing for about 2 days to scrape all 11k posts from an artist who died. I wanted to archive their work on my own non-public file server since I adored it so much.
Same level of complexity, just in a different direction. I spent more time on figuring out infrastructure than I did writing the scripts to do the scraping. With jetstream it's the opposite tbh. I spent more time figuring out how to read the blobs than worrying over infrastructure.
You are willing giving consent to the richest man in the world to steal your art, compared to the dubious legal grounds of these random scrapers (who, as mentioned, also scrape X).
Posting to Twitter knowing Twitter trains with your stuff vs. posting basically anywhere else that doesn't and getting and getting dinged by random scrapers.
I'd rather not intentionally with full knowledge feed the machine as it were.
