All that might be true, but it's not his job as a diplomat on official duty to express his personal opinions like that.
I think you'll find that every western country is taking a hyper cautious approach with the US right now.

I get that and accept that given the current norms he had to be replaced. The point I was trying to make saying NZ got it wrong is that there has to be a point in time when an individual and or a country has to stand up and be counted for speaking out about what is happening before their very eyes!
