in months it was revealed to be a near miracle that there once was a platform that all of our favorite writers and news sources relied on to share their verified work--and their thoughts on their work--for free, the platform didn't even have to pay them to do it.

i've been a daily newspaper reader most of my adult life but ditching the post and replacing it with defector, 404 media, the verge, the 51st, washington city paper, the new yorker and a handful of independent writers has been an adequate substitute. bit harder to manage it all, though
