It's *way* cheaper than subsidizing electric cars ...
... and people rode 'em 26 miles/wk on average, year-round. Cleaner air, healthier folks; about 6 million fewer car-miles each year

seems like a great city to cycle in -- it's not terribly hill, is it? (As I recall, though I haven't been there in a while)
... and those folks rode 10 miles per week more than other riders
Which makes sense: Low-income neighborhoods have lousy public transit and less car ownership
ebikes can be even more personally transformative there
