Of course, but I want even going to go there. I’m trying to answer this guys questions as simply and accurately as possible without going down the rabbit hole lol.
I don't even know what this means. We're talking about bitcoin. Elon, Bezos, Satoshi himself have no more control over the protocol than you or I do. No one does. Not over the supply schedule, the protocol rules, nothing.
The world has never seen an asset with this characteristic.
Crypto is not easy to understand and most people got their lessons about crypto from their politicians. Overall, unsurprising to see people still have this lack of understanding of how crypto (and by extension BTC) will serve the entirety of finance in the coming years.
Again, the concept is simple; however, you seem lost in the intricacies of the technology and losing the macro view of crypto. And BTW, politicians are turning to crypto in droves; FYI.
When someone asks me what BTC is, I start by having them visit this site (https://casebitcoin.com/newbie) and read over everything there first before I start explaining BTC and then subsequently, PoW vs PoS.
Remind me again what happened when crypto went from a high of 76K to 19K. And yeah, we have financial crisis all the time, and if we do crypto won't save you either.
What happened was you lost a massive buying opportunity.
Bitcoin will always be very short-term volatile, responding to the smallest fluctuations in demand with huge price shifts. It's by design. Unlike other assets, the supply schedule is fixed and doesn't change at all no matter what demand does.

But your point is huge!
In simplest terms POS means whoever has the most wealth gets to be the ruler.
POW means no one gets to be the ruler. It's rules without rulers.
