Skepticism is warranted but honestly I would rather have the men who true believed Iraq in my foxhole than any Democrat who cynical supported it. The former are saying they're quite fine with AOC. The latter always ask whether something is popular, never whether it's right, and want Sinema back.

In my early political days I was more conservative and the failures and monstrosity of the Bush admin moved me to centrist liberalism. Obama’s failure to properly react to the economic collapse moved me much further to the left. I used to be pro-Israel in my younger days until I read up on it.
