What a shame. They really should just open source some legacy version like 2022.. All the engine's issues would be fixed in a year. There's not really a valid replacement to Unity yet so it's a shame they keep digging this hole.

Yup. It's not terrible enough to force me to switch engines, I don't like UE, and Godot doesn't feel mature or well supported enough yet.

I really don't like Godot. I like Stride because the workflow is almost 1:1 with Unity and you spend most of your time in the code, but it's extremely immature. While the community is very dedicated I'm not yet ready to gamble my livelihood on unproven tools.

I was going to start picking up Unity because a lot of stuff I'm interested in working with uses it. Instead, getting into Godot is the better play at this point.
