Oblivion is amazing story wise. Old version was all potato graphics though. With that removed? Honestly might end up better than Skyrim and I do not say that lightly, as Skyrim is my all time favorite video game. Definitely recommend.

i rlly enjoyed og oblivion!! the quests are quite creative, at times it gets a liiittle repetitive but i definitely count the game as a classic

I think the open-world and exploration aren't as good as Skyrim. The 2006 one had weird dialogues and bugs that could make it hilarious sometimes.
I find the main quest uneven (quite predictable but a good central character). Some of the quest guilds are truly excellent.

Personally (compared to Skyrim): the main mission is a bit weaker, but the guild missions were better (and the dark brotherhood plot is AMAZING)

So yeah, I'd say it's worth it definitely. Still love Morrowind above everything though, but that's just me.

Biggest problem with with oblivion is the level scaling system . It’s really bad which sucks becasie everything else is great . Honestly , I do think Skyrim is great but the gameplay and writing is watered down or worse in comparison to oblivion
