Oh sweet, I had no idea! Sadly I wasn’t able to make HARD TRUTHS works with my schedule but I cannot wait to check it out later. I’ve only heard great things.

can’t stop thinking about David Webber and Tuwaine Barrett in that movie, a couple of the most beautifully realized supporting characters in a film that also has a towering lead performance
What’s said about Curtley, what’s unsaid about Curtley, the actions he does and doesn’t take… hard to think of another film that’s able to give such a rich and complex impression of a character with such limited dialogue.
Mind you! I did wonder if the cast should have shared the writing credit on this one because although this is Leigh’s standard process, this was the first time it’s been so apparent that the specificity of much of the language couldn’t have come primarily from him.
