I'm in the same boat! Watched sonic 1 and 2 the week before I watched 3. I can't believe I went this long without watching them! Such a fun time for everyone involved. Also, Keanu Reeves is a perfect Shadow

I think they're still good comedy/action movies even if you know nothing about Sonic. I'd say watch the first one and if you like it watch the other two. If not, don't, they're all basically the same formula.

Speaking as someone with zero nostalgia who's seen the first two, yeah, absolutely agree with this. They're fun, and have just the right level of Jim Carrey in them.
