Saw him at the weekend long Wanee Festival in Live Oak Florida with the Allman Brothers. Then at midnight he played a sideshow with help from Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks. One of the most thrilling concert nights of my life.
Oh, I also proposed to my wife that night, so yeah kinda memorable!

My first concert was seeing Johnny Winter at the old Ontario Theatre in DC in 1979. I became hooked on the blues. His live And album is one of my favorites.

Back around 1980 the Saratoga Jazz Festival had a blues tribute, saw Johnny and BB. My guitar teacher in the mid-80s was good friends with and mentored by Ronnie Montrose, Marc got to play with Johnny's brother (https://marcbonillamusic.com/js_photo_albums/edgar-winter/#lg=1&slide=2), and owns one of the few lefty '64 Firebirds :
