Yes! I had the first 12-15 books in the series. My favorites were the ones on UFOs, psychic powers and ghosts.

I can't remember specifically, as it was long ago. But each volume was presented as a throughly researched non-fiction exposé, without citing any actual sources (I think). Really great illustrations too, very high production quality.

I loved the TIME Life Mysteries series! We use to pick the book up used at library book faires. Beautiful artwork in some of those books. The Japanese ghosts stories are still my favorite!
