The quilting is wonderful. Which part of binding do you dread? I have made peace with that tedious task by making the binding before I layer and baste.

I like the speed of finishing binding by machine but I’m just not good enough at it yet to like the results.

I do it by machine now. I stitch the binding to the back and fold it to the front to finish. A quilter’s awl helps with the corners. Binding mug rugs is good practice.

I make my binding in advance too and I no longer iron it in half before I sew it on, just fold it as I go. It definitely helps. I think the part I dislike is dealing with the bulk of large quilts and long strips of binding and threading the needle when hand sewing. 😆
