I also believe netherrealm was made before warner brought it as a way to save the ip from midway's downfall
After a quick google search, nether realm was made by warner after they got all the ip's from midway, ed boom is the creative director tho, but yeah im wrong in that part
I do believe there might be something that gives ed power over the ip tho, but thats just a gut feeling
