Not my earliest memory but in advance of the release of Wu Tang Forever (I think it was June 3, 1997) Power 99 played like two hours of the absolute best of the best across the expanded Wu catalogue. I taped it, snuck out of the house to go to a party and put the tape on and people lost their minds
