Gah, still sad about my bike getting stolen, need to put some effort into finding it or getting the word out tomorrow. Was bogged down with family stuff today. Just kind of led me to despair a bit. Here’s a picture, if it helps.

They should make a movie about a guy who loses his bicycle and then goes around the city with his kid looking for it. I think it would show a kind of ennui and hopelessness about our modern world.
That sucks man, I had a bike stolen down here in Atlanta. Not sure if it applies up to you, but Play It Again Sports is pretty well known down here as a common place to fence stolen bikes. Maybe worth a shot since it’s a national chain (aka probably lax policies nationally)
instead of an ebike make it a muscle car and the kid is a puppy also the thieves kill the puppy and the guy is the world’s best assassin and he kills everyone
Love to spend my morning filing police reports and bugging people in hopes that someone finds my bike (unlikely). Where is the Beekeeper for me, a not elderly person?
navigating the law enforcement side of the theft was so dispiriting when I did it, my case getting a little lost between the cracks of two districts, officers who clearly didn't care much and protocol that prevented them from following pretty serious leads.
Didn’t someone catch a lady at the flea market with all yours bikes and called the cops and the cops just let the lady leave without even asking for her name
I had a bike stolen when I lived in London and when the cops finally showed up 6 hours later they got really mad at me when I said "I know you guys won't do anything about this but I need to file file the report for the insurance." Hope it's going way better for you
This whole thing sucks and I hate it for you. This story's old, and you've probably already seen it, but your story reminded me of it and for what it's worth I figured I'd post it here anyway.
Well, I hope the poor clerk at the police department enjoys seeing a photo of a Costco receipt I submitted to my FSA instead of a photo of the stolen bike (which I subsequently sent as a follow up when I realized my mistake), because that's what I accidentally uploaded with my police report.
Zeller ended up trying to buy the bike off the guy who stole it. Asked the guy if he had a piece of equipment that had been taken off the back, the guy went upstairs and then Zeller rode off with it.
Sounds like it would be a kind of movie that shows a new realism. You could make it on location with amateur actors, showing what your life is really like.

Look on ebay and Craigslist.
This is a good resource. Sorry for the shitty situation.
I know there’s an active stolen bikes Facebook group and a recovery vigilante who will come help you recover it if it gets listed for sale!
