We're lured in by the convenience of such quick delivery. That's how they buy us. You can still search there if you want, then buy direct from manufacturers, real goods instead of mock-ups. Nothing I can't find elsewhere, wait to get, live without.

The delivery is the hook for sure. What can be challenging to avoid if you want to cut out amazon fully are places that use FBA even for non-amazon orders. And tracking down smaller retailers for more obscure items can take some (worthwhile) work, particularly with how bad search engines have gotten
