I've used Studio 3 Beats for years - legit the ones I have I think are 6-7 years old? What are good headphones for someone who leans audiophile but has sensitive ears? As in sensitive to my ears being squished by the headphones. I can't wear mine for too long. I care about aesthetic and quality - ThreadSky

My favorite pair is the Sony WH-1000XM5. Use mainly for trance and techno, but also classical. I find them very comfortable, but everyone’s different on that. Nice noise canceling, but sometimes I wish they would go louder.

I have some Sony WH-1000XM4s. The sound quality is very good, but I don't find them the most comfortable. Good bang for the buck though.

I have a wired pair of AKG K550s that sound good and are SUPER comfortable, but the wire is 10 feet long so not good for listening on the go.

Apparently the 'next big thing' in audiophile headphones is "planar magnetic" drivers. I haven't tried them, but I'm intrigued by the HiFi Man Deva Pros. They're open back though, so you need to use them in a quiet environment since sound leaks in/out.

What does open back mean? Sound leaking doesn't sound ideal. Honestly I use them a lot just walking around my apt cleaning or while streaming. That thing on the right on the bottom looks a little wonky. Thanks for the recs tho! I need wireless + comfort haha

The ear cups are open to the air. They'll have a mesh back instead of solid plastic cup.

It's *supposed* to provide better sound due to a 'wider sound stage' with the drawback of external noise being less isolated, and people around you will be able to hear what you are listening to.
