Hey I lived in the Bay Area! Check out the pound, they get grants for free spays and I’ve gotten cats spayed for free from the humane society! There is a humane society in Fairfield I believe.

If you're in America, there are a ton of mobile clinics that offer free spay/neuter services. Check ASPCA and see if they have any resources in your area

they do have affordable care vouchers im waiting to hear back about!
but the place itself its still pretty expensive and that star at the bottom is what got me into the mess😭

It's roughly around the same amounts everywhere. Worse here in south africa. 2 kittens we rescued at 5 weeks old and had to spayed, snip, vaccinations and constant checkups for their first 3 months was around R27K or $1500.

I've always wanted to visit Cali but why would prices differ that greatly between just those 2 areas? Do they also have like a pet medical aid or pet insurance thing there?
Also when you get this done. Ask prices for future vaccinations too coz those will come up

i think just because of how huge california is
prices for everything differ so much depending on the city
LA, just like here, has a huge cat population issue
but u can actually get help for it there

she thankfully has her vaccinations, but i will have to look into a place to keep her up to date ;o;

i would honestly try asking local shelters! generally they are pretty happy to prevent possible future attendees lmao :] (esp if you ever bring them strays to TNR, though i would call b4 just in case)

There are no Low-Cost Spay Neuter places around this area?

I did find this. Not sure if this is close enough since this is supposed to be in the Bay Area. They also seem to Microchip at no extra cost.

That's awful :( vet care is so expensive these days... maybe if this new place doesn't work out, you could email some local shelters or cat rescues for recommendations? I hope you and your kitty can find somewhere affordable!
