So: full disclosure: At first I thought the “Brittany Howard is in a new hardcore band” chatter was derived from something Onion related.

(That said, my initial skepticism was NOT because I think Howard can’t do hxc. I just didn’t think it was her jam. I was wrong. And perfectly glad to be so.)
